Chaitali Nadkarni is a Freelance artist and Art Instructor who aims to blend Impressionism and Classical Realism, especially when drawing and painting portraits. She feels that her style is best shown in her ability to capture the form and in her use of light, shadow and vibrant colors.       

Chaitali has been passionate about drawing and painting from her childhood in India. This led to her earning a degree in Bachelors of Fine Art from Goa College of Art in India, with a major in portraiture. It was while earning her degree, she got exposed to all sorts of artists and had a visceral attraction to the works of Baroque artist Rembrandt and Impressionist artist Turner, who she felt mastered that perfect blend of realism and impressionism.       

She believes that solid drawing skills are instrumental to creating an excellent art work, and it’s this belief that motivated her to develop her own drawing classes. In 2013 she founded CN Creations School of Art and has used this philosophy to educate her students, both young and adult, on the fundamentals of Art and to express their creativity utilizing various advanced techniques.       

While education and teaching has become a true joy for her, she has also continued her artistic journey by participating in various exhibitions. She loves dancing and has graduated in classical Indian dance form Bharatnatyam. She is also involved with various Indian community nonprofit organizations in America such as the Chinmaya Mission, Shashikala Foundation, NEOMM (NorthEast Ohio Marathi Mandal), and MMA (Marathi Mandal of Atlanta), among others. She has helped with decorations in different events, including being a decoration chair for gala events at a convention center. She has designed and built multiple backdrops and props for various organizations and also worked on doing magazine cover designs, making molds for workshops, exploring resin art, wood engraving etc…       

She feels blessed to be able to devote so much of her life to her heart’s desire and is excited for the future might bring!
